In Sky Bet’s Super League Grand Final betting, last year’s Harry Sunderland Trophy winner, Lee Smith, is 12/1 to repeat the feat at Old Trafford on Saturday.
In what is his last appearance before switching codes to join Wasps, the Leeds centre is priced up at 10/1 to score the first try of the game, 8/13 to score a try anytime and 14/1 to sign off in style by bagging a hat-trick of tries.
Sky Bet’s rugby league betting spokesman David Sykes said: “Smith has a big match temperament and should go close to winning man-of-the match honours in his last game for the Rhinos”
2009 sees the third consecutive Grand Final clash between Leeds and St Helens, with the Rhino’s 1/2 favourites to lift the Grand Final shield and Saints available at 6/4.
Sky Bet have installed Leeds as 6/5 favourites in their Super League XV regular season betting, with Saints 5/2 second favourites and Huddersfield next in the betting at 10/1. Another Leeds v Saints grand final next year is quoted at 11/4.
Sky Bet’s Dave Sykes said: “Leeds have a much younger team than Saints and with a couple of decent acquisitions for the 2010 season, they are solid favourites.”
