Super league betting latest: Following the appointment of Brian Noble as Celtic Crusaders coach, Sky Bet are offering odds on how the Welsh club will fare in next season’s Super League.
Crusaders finished bottom of the table in their inaugural season and Sky Bet make them even money favourites to take the wooden spoon again in 2010 (8/11 not to finish bottom). Sky Bet go 12/1 that Noble guides them to the play-offs.
Noble was at the helm of Wigan for three years and before that was in charge of Bradford. Sky Bet offer 2/7 for Crusaders to beat either of Noble’s former clubs next season (5/2 to beat neither Wigan nor Bradford during the regular season).
Sky Bet’s rugby league betting expert, Dave Sykes, said: “Having spent three trophyless years at Wigan Warriors, Brian Noble is expected to struggle in his first season in charge of Celtic Crusaders and it will be a tall order to guide them to the playoffs.”
