Sky Bet have produced a host of political betting markets ahead of tomorrow’s Sky News Leaders’ debate, including a number of fun specials.
David Cameron was hit by an egg while campaigning in Cornwall today and Sky Bet go 100/1 that he is pelted with another egg from the audience during tomorrow’s showdown.
With some of today’s polls suggesting that the Tories have regained their pre-election lead, Cameron is also coming in for support at 5/4 to win the second live debate, although Nick Clegg remains odds-on favourite at 4/5 for another winning performance. Gordon Brown, however, is entirely friendless in the market at 7/1.
Thursday’s debate will focus on international affairs and after a week of travel chaos resulting from the volcanic ash cloud, Sky Bet are offering odds on who will be first to say ‘volcano’, making the PM 6/4 favourite. Betting is also available on which country will be mentioned first, with Iceland a 3/1 chance.
Sky Bet will be offering live, in-play betting on both the outcome of the second debate and the General Election during Thursday’s live broadcast (Sky News and Sky News HD from 8pm).
