Crack Away Jack is unchanged at 8/1 in the Arkle Cheltenham Fesival betting with Sky Bet after making a perfect start to his chasing career at Sandown on Saturday.
Apart from one mistake at the tricky Railway fences, he jumped well in the main and outclassed his two rivals to saunter clear for a bloodless victory in the two-mile beginners’ chase.
Matt Doyle, the Sky Bet horse racing betting spokesman, said: ‘Although he did it well enough at a difficult track for a novice, he scared away any serious opposition and it would be hard to justify a cut in his Festival odds at this stage.’
Last year’s Champion Hurdle fourth remains second favourite behind two other useful recruits from the hurdling ranks in Mikael D’Haguenet and Sizing Europe – the 7/1 joint favourites in Sky Bet’s Arkle market.
