Sky Bet have cut Chelsea’s odds of claiming the Premier League title from 4/5 to 8/13 following their 2-0 victory over bitter rivals Arsenal.
Manchester United, who handed bottom of the table Portsmouth a 5-0 drubbing, are 11/8 to defend their crown and Arsenal, who are now 9 points adrift of Chelsea are 16/1 (from 10/1).
Sky Bet’s football betting spokesman Tim Reynolds said: “After this weekend’s results it now looks a two horse race. Manchester United host Chelsea at the beginning of April and that single fixture could decide the title.”
At the other end of the table, Portsmouth are 1/10 to be relegated with Wolves, who are now 1 point adrift of safety 8/13 (from 8/11). West Ham, who make up the bottom three along with Pompey and Wolves are 3/1 to be relegated.
