Two teams remain unbeaten in the NFL, the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts and Sky Bet are offering odds on what their regular season records will be come the end of the season.
Both teams have four games left to play and NFC division leaders Saints are 21/10 to keep a perfect 16-0 record, while the Colts are 15/8 to remain unbeaten in the regular season.
Saints took their record to 12-0 last week with a narrow 33-30 win over the Washington Redskins and are 10.5 point favourites for their trip to Atlanta to take on the Falcons. Sky Bet make the Saints 5/2 favourites to win Super Bowl XLIV.
In-form Denver, who have celebrated back-to-back victories over the New York Giants and the Kansas City Chiefs, travel to Indianapolis on Sunday with a 7 point start on the handicap at 10/11. A win for the unbeaten Colts, who clinched their 21st consecutive regular-season win with victory over the Tennessee Titans last week, will ensure the AFC’s top seeding, which means homefield advantage in the play-offs at Lucas Oil Field and Sky Bet make them 3/1 second favourites for Super Bowl XLIV. It’s even money that Indianapolis suffer one defeat in their final four games and 3/1 that they lose twice.
Sky Bet’s American football betting expert Phil Charlton said: “New Orleans head coach Sean Payton has stated he wants to go 16-0 in the regular season and take this momentum into the post-season and go for the perfect 19-0 season.
“Indianapolis are less inclined to aim for perfection as once they have locked up homefield advantage in the play-offs they will rest key players such as possible MVP Peyton Manning.”
