The Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints travel to Miami for Super Bowl XLIV and Sky Bet are offering over 125 NFL betting markets for Sunday’s decider.
The Colts, who are looking to win their second Super Bowl title in four seasons, are the 8/15 favourites to lift the Vince Lombardi trophy (Saints 13/8). The Saints will have to be at their best to stave off Peyton Manning’s offence, who are regarded as one of the best in the NFL. It’s 20/21 for the Saints to win with a handicap start of 4.5 points (20/23 Indianapolis -4.5 points) and 11/8 they are leading at the half-time interval (8/13 Indianapolis).
Sky Bet are also offering a host of player specials, including 5/6 for the Colts quarterback Peyton Manning to accumulate over 300.5 passing yards (5/6 under 300.5 yards) and 4/5 for Manning to be named as the Most Valuable Player.
Manning’s opposite number Drew Brees, who has a total of 4,388 passing yards this season, is 5/6 to gain 286 yards or more (5/6 under 285.5 yards). In a battle between the two quarterbacks, Sky Bet make Manning 8/13 to throw for more yards than Brees, with the Saints trigger man priced at 6/5.
Sky Bet’s NFL betting expert Ben Wright said: “In terms of the match-up, it really is a battle of the quarterbacks, Brees v Manning. Peyton Manning already has done enough to get into the sport’s Hall of Fame, and if he won one more Super Bowl, a good case could be made for him being the best quarterback ever. Brees on the other hand has flourished since joining the Saints, coming incredibly close to breaking Dan Marino’s regular season passing record last season.”
